COMMUNION Part 1 of 4

The only communion is spiritual

Meaning: The literal hearing of the word of God and receiving of the Spirit of God

There are no more symbols
To take a literal bread and wine is not communion
The bread and wine were symbols of the true communion of the preached word and the Holy Ghost

The law:
Heb 10:11 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers there unto perfect
a. We do not pick up a literal wood cross, why should there be a literal supper of wine and bread?
b. All old testament types stood for what should be done spiritually in the new testament.
c. We must literally hear and obey the word of God, this is literally eating his flesh for he was the word of God.
d. To continuing in the symbols using the symbols for salvation and communion, we do not fulfil the types, instead we use them as substitutes for the real.
e. The old testament was a schoolmaster, teaching us the things we must do in the new testament
by explaining with the things that are made, such as the unleavened bread and wine.
f. This literal feast with natural objects was not real communion but a type of what we should literally do in eating the word of God and drinking into his Spirit.
g. When we are in church service we literally hear and digest the word of God into our spirits, this is how we literally have communion with the Lord Jesus Christ.
h. We cannot take of the symbols of the true, which is bread and wine and expect them to do anything for us spiritually.
i. The literal bread represents the word of God and was never meant to be used in a service to be Jesus Christ flesh. When anyone eats a piece of literal bread they are not eating his flesh but a piece of doe which represents is and symbolizes the word of God.
j. The word of God is literally the flesh of Jesus Christ: or God became a man.
k. When wine was drank it was never meant to be the literal blood of Jesus Christ but merely a representation of the true, which is the Spirit of God we drink when we partake of his Holy Ghost.
l. In the old testament they never had the real thing the symbols stood for, but we possess both the word of God which was fulfilled in JESUS CHRIST and made known to us, and the Holy Ghost which was given on the day of Pentecost.
m. When we literally hear the truth and drink of his Spirit we are made like unto his image, not when we literally eat a piece of bread and drink a cup of wine. Eating a piece of bread and drinking a cup of wine does in no way change us into his image or likeness. It in no way conveys any type of communion with the Lord.
Jesus Christ was born under the law as a type of the body of Christ in the New Test. The new testament was not in force until after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and not until the Holy Ghost was given and the Gospel message preached by the Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost.

Gal 4:4-5
4. But when the fulness of time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5. To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
a. The fact that Jesus ate a literal supper with his disciples was not evidence we should do it in the New Testament
b. When he said this do in remembrance of me he was referring to the preaching of the word of God of which breaking of literal bread was a type of.
c. He had evidently explained the bread and the wine to his apostles, when he spake this. They certainly understood what he meant because they did not serve bread and win on the day of Pentecost.
1 Cor 11:2424 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
c. He was not speaking for them to do the same thing as he, because he was performing the last supper as a type and shadow of what we would be performing in the New Testament by preaching the word with promise of the Spirit.
d. Because men can only do exactly what the scripture declares and cannot see that Jesus
was giving reference to the bread and wine of which the disciples understood as being a type and shadow, they have set it in their hearts to appeal to the literal and carnal being deceived
by the doctrine of the false church
e. The preaching of the Word of God and the in-filling of the Holy Ghost is the only true communion. There is no communion with literal symbols. Just like there is no longer a literal temple, the church is a holy temple in the Lord.
f. Jesus body was not yet broken and the Gospel message was not yet seen through the death,
burial and resurrection, but what we read and what he taught his disciples can clearly be seen when you read the epistles. The epistles clearly reflect that the apostles heard and knew much more than we have recorded in the Gospels.
g. This is why there was no bread and wine on the day of Pentecost and there is no reference as to when to perform any literal observance of bread and wine. The word of God was preached on the day of Pentecost and when heard and obeyed, the Holy Ghost was given. This is communion, there is no communion or necessity of taking anything literal like bread and wine. The church began with the Gospel message and the baptism of the Holy Ghost as central figures for salvation. Not literal bread and wine.

IT IS SPIRITUAL BECAUSE:
a. Jesus would have left us better instructions to facilitate unity and oneness.
b. What should we serve it in?
c. What kind of wine? Grape juice? There was none needed at Pentecost.
d. How often should we have it? Once a year or once a week.
e. Should we serve alcohol to the alcoholic?
f. Wouldn't it be right to have communion with Jesus every service?
g. If literal communion is right then we are damned by not eating and drinking it every service.
h. We are damned if we do not eat the word and drink the Spirit.
i. Different churches have kept all the old testament symbolism because they
cannot see this truth, are we to follow them and condemn all who do not take the literal
bread and wine? They kept the literal priesthood instead of recognizing the five fold ministry
given us by Jesus, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and teachers for the edifying of the
body of Christ. It was never meant that we should have a literal pope or potentate when Jesus
is our the high priest of our profession.

Why should we think that Jesus was talking about something else besides literal wine and bread?

Matt 16:6-7 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

a. The disciples were literal while Jesus was not talking about a literal leaven.
b. This is where men go astray: refusing to understand what the literal in the old testament actually represents and symbolizes, which must be fulfilled in the new testament.
c. If you take the Word of God literal in the law, you will become a man of the letter and not of the Spirit. Those who use the law literally are called by Paul natural brute beasts.
d. Jesus was speaking here about the doctrine of the Pharisee’s and not a literal leaven.
e. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God.
f. If the literal rock cannot be understood to have a greater meaning, it becomes of no use. That spiritual rock that followed them was Christ. Jesus fulfilled the literal rock in the wilderness this is what made the rock spiritual, the literal had a greater meaning.

1 Cor 2:14-15
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

a. This word is sent in judgment to those who refuse to see and understand the truth concerning

communion: there is only one literal thing we do in the new testament and that is baptism.
b. The apostles baptized in Jesus name but never ever served communion with bread and wine.
c. So to the intellectual and gifted, meaning the wise and prudent, hide yourself by seeing the
truth here: because he reveals it to babes and sucklings. The spirit of babes and sucklings
d. The reason the spiritual can judge all things is because they understand the meaning of the
literal types and shadows of the old. They see. They see what the law meant to be and do not
use it unlawfully.

What was Jesus speaking of?
Matt 16:8-12 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faithwhy reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

a. First, it is evident you can't have faith unless you understand his words beyond the literal and natural sense.
b. Jesus expected his disciples to see beyond the miracles to the reason for them.
c. Jesus expected his disciples to correlate the multiplication of the bread with the Word of God.
d. They reasoned: it is because we have taken no bread literally, when Jesus was relaying to them a spiritual principal.
e. The leaven of the Pharisees was the false doctrine of the Pharisees.
f. As Jesus made his disciples to understand the false doctrine of the religious element of that day and hour so today, here and now is the same. Add old testament types into the fulfilled teachings of the apostles and you have not cast out the bondwoman and her son.

It is vain worship to worship the letter and not understand the spiritual sense of Jesus statements.
Matt 15:4-94 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

a. Literal bread does nothing for the heart, but the word effects the heart, literal bread the
stomach.
b. Literal bread satisfies the natural appetite but does nothing of the inner man and the soul.
c. The word of God satisfies the appetite of the soul and spirit.
d. From the old testament literal unto the new testament spiritual is the key.
e. Preach the word not feed the literal bread! The false church commandment is you must eat
the literal bread, this is a commandment of men.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
a. The commands in the New Testament in 1 Cor 11:24 spoken by Paul the Apostle were words re-iterating Jesus and what he had said to the disciples at the last supper.
b. He was in no way saying to take bread and wine literally as some churches have interpreted.
c. If we command the saints to take the literal bread and wine we are again making commandments that Jesus Christ never intended making his word of none effect.
d. Jesus statement to the disciples was for them to understand that their preaching the Word of God was to always be done, with him in remembrance.
e. The bible clearly states "How can we be saved without a PREACHER and how can he preach unless he be sent? Faith cometh by hearing not by eating!
f. Never does it say how can we be saved without the wine and bread.
g. If we enter the house of God with malice or contempt for the preacher or brother expecting to hear the Word of God in this condition, it is eating the bread unworthily.
h. To say communion is taking the literal bread and wine is to worship the Lord in vain.
i. To hear the Word of God and do it is to worship the Lord.
j. Why call ye me Lord Lord and do not those things which is say?

Where does eternal life come from?
John 6:53-5453 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
a. If the literal cup of wine and the literal piece of bread where actually communion then it would be true what the some churches teach.
b. Eternal life would come through a piece of bread and a cup of wine.
c. All other factors would be irrelevant.
d. Our lives would center around the Eucharist instead of hearing the preached word of God.
e. We do not receive the Spirit of God by eating literal bread.
f. If the Spirit of him that raised up Christ dwell in you, he shall also quicken or make alive your
mortal bodies. So eating a literal bread does not promise the same Spirit that raised up Christ.
But a fake and phony substitute.

The disciples knew Jesus words were eternal life and not a literal bread.
John 6:63-68
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
a. Jesus here speaking of flesh which profits nothing: that flesh is the law without fulfilment.
b. The words Jesus spake to them, he claimed to possess: spirit and life, never a literal bread.
c. The people who killed him once walked with him and did not believe him.
d. The Jew who desired to keep the law of Moses became Jesus enemy.
e. Judas Iscariot could sell him to those in the law because he himself never believed the words Jesus spake as fulfilling the literal symbols of the old testament.
f. The disciples knew Jesus had the words of eternal life and that the law did not. They received the understanding as a result of their desire to be disciplined of the word.

The accuser of the brethren are those who remain natural and accuse those who give the fulfillment of the types and shadows.

Acts 24:5-8
5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
6 Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
7 But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
8 Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
a. The way the accuser of the brethren was cast down: Jesus taught and those who refused his
teaching, accused him of things he did commit because they were natural and he spiritual.
Jesus rose from the dead, proving his doctrine superceding the law was correct, accurate,
truth and his apostles were authenticated also.
b. The apostles fought against those who accepted Christ but not his apostles and their doctrine,
determined to keep the law and reject the necessity of any spiritual understanding.
c. They accused him of speaking evil against the temple, because he had given the spiritual
meaning of the temple as being the temple of our bodies. The holy temple the church.
d. The body of Christ, the church that was born on the day of Pentecost was the spiritual
fulfillment of the literal temple.
