Arrange your schedule

A testimony from last night's service where it was said that they don't want to go back from where they came from. It was a beautiful statement. They also said they use to fit God into their schedule, not their schedule around God. Well, let me say this, first: Daniel still prayed three times a day after the decree was made. Because Daniel still prayed, he was caught, and thrown in den of lions. But was spared and the ones that came against him were thrown into the den of lions.
“Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.” Daniel 6:5-13 KJV
“Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God. And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.” Daniel 6:16-27 KJV
Daniel also didn't go back, he stayed to his belief and trust in God. Same with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego that were thrown in the fiery furnace because they would not bow down before image the king set up. This is what they said:
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Daniel 3:16-18 KJV
The king heated the furnace 7 times hotter, and guess what-they were not burned, nor did they not have the smell of smoke on their clothes, but the cords were burned off and there was a fourth person standing in the fire with them!!
“Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.” Daniel 3:19-29 KJV
God not only let them go through the trial, but the things that were hindering / binding them were destroyed in the trial. Never go back and always fit your schedule around the Lord!!

What are you building

[1Ti 6:19 KJV Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.]

I want to take this moment to picture the home of your dreams.

Most people don't think about pouring the cement for the foundation, nor the studs and beams that make up the frame of the building. They think color of the walls, open spaces, fireplaces and furniture etc. The things that make up the inside or the landscaping of the house and its surroundings.
This is how we tend to look at our lives as well. From our clothes to the cars we drive, the title we have, accomplishments, to even the person we marry. We look at the things that "fill" the house. Not what the foundation of our thoughts, character or person is. We judge ourselves by new dresses, new gadgets, long titles, number of friends and bank accounts. These things look great, but what if there's termites? Or if your life has no support beams. You built your accomplishments on rotten wood.

What am I talking about?
Matt 7:24-27 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

A good foundation of truth; not ideas that can be washed away in storms.
It’s one rock at a time of character building truth. Peter upon this rock I will build my church. Peter had a revelation of who Jesus was and it’s a revelation that you can build upon. The truth of God is what we need to build our lives on. When you build it on your opinions, experiences, past, feelings, stories from others and you’re non-founded thoughts; it’s sand. You can apply some of the principles of God into your sand to stabilize your “good” character, but in the storm you’ll fall apart.

The word of Truth will get into the deep parts of your sandy, earthy heart and if allowed, will remove those things and replace them with solid rock truth. But God is a gentleman and will not force His way in. You have to be willing to submit to His hand of authority in your life to do this.
Are you praying, reading and going to church; great. Now are you praying just to pray? Are you reading because it’s the right thing to do? Are you attending church because it’s a habit or what might people say if you’re not there, appearances? The reason behind your “why” is what makes sand under the rock or wither you reach the bedrock of your soul.  When you look at a natural house, you don’t see how far down into the ground that the cement was poured in. Likewise the building, as far up as it goes, is as far (at the least) you go down into ground. If you want something to last the storm, you dig unto you hit bedrock. Same with God in your spiritual building, You. You are the temple of the Holy Ghost if you’ve been filled with His Spirit. You have to let God dig deep into your very thinking and reasoning. If you’re not using the word of God to reason, make decisions or judge things; then you’re in trouble. The storm is coming and you need to build (or repair) what your foundation is laid upon.

So when you are praying, be confessing, repenting and honest with God. Believing that He already knows it and can do something about it. When you’re reading, purpose it to read into and hear your life story in the examples that are before you. They will give you directions to build and fix what is already laid. When you go to church, “who cares” (in a sense) about anyone else; you are there to give to and receive from God.  It’s about your temple building program. When you allow God in, then you’ll be the best you were meant to be. You’ll be a light, witness and a testimony of His great work in the earth. And like a natural building, you’ll weather the storms.

Even the best of foundations will crack if they are not built upon a rock. Reach for Jesus today and build.

Hide and seek

Count to 20...OK... 1, 2, 3, 4, .... 18, 19, 20 ready or not here I come...

So many times I've heard children (and as a child myself) play this game. Indoors, outdoors, and many other places. This "little" game is profound. It doesn't matter, someone is it and someone needs to be found. So many times the things we want, including reaching God Himself, seems to have hidden itself. Career goals, dreams, relationships and direction / answers from God. You have a general direction to "find" the it, but the exact way or location is amiss. Will this training plan get me across the finish line. After four years of college will I get a job in that field. You have a general idea or hope to find it, but you're still playing the principle of this game. I'm "it" and I searching.
Now what about God; ever hear of a brass ceiling? most people seek Him when the trail hits, ..

[Job 6:8 KJV Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!]

How many times we kneel down in prayer trying to find the right words to get God to be "found" in answering our request. If I say the right "things", then God will answer me just this way or that way. If I don't then He must be over here in these words or in this place of seeking. Or did I just miss Him entirely.
[Isa 55:6 KJV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:] Does this mean the Lord moves from us; no we move away from Him. God is present to those who seek Him with a heart to find Him. And the answer is still the same. Pray, read, fast, humble yourself, faithfulness to church, Godly counsel and not stopping it until the answer comes.

[Dan 9:3-4 KJV And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;]
[Hos 10:12 KJV Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.]
[Act 17:27 KJV  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:]

The problem is that we seek Him with an expectation of how the situation should be worked out. It's our direction, not His. God isn't hearing me because I'm still in the storm. Wrong, He hears you but His answer is coming through the storm. Think of the rod that Moses had, do you think for a moment Moses gave that stick one thought about delivering Israel with it when he worked it out. Or that it would even turn into a snake. What about Gideon, a pitcher, lamp and trumpet; hum who would look at these things and say weapons of warfare. Or an Ark for never seen before rain. Oh Adam and Eve you sinned, lets get you out of your cover up of fig leaves and teach you how to build an altar. Jacob wrestling all night and coming out with a limp would be the answer to Esau's anger.
Do you think any of these people thought that the answer was the one they received?

[Deu 4:29 KJV But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.] The answer is to seek Him with all, not half heartily, unfaithfulness and lazy ways. We read tend to chop up these verses but they are complete.

[Pro 3:5-12 KJV] 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. 9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. 11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.]

You seek Him with all your heart, to know His ways. Be about His business. Wait (like a waiter) on the Lord. Obey His word and while you're doing all this, He will reveal His answer to you. Trust the Lord cause the next part of the game is a new seeker.

[Eze 34:11 KJV For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.]

When you seek the Lord and find Him, He then seeks you out to fulfill His promise.

[Eze 34:11-15 KJV] 11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.]

Thank you Jesus
