The tree of knowledge (Its devastating truth)

Why do some people prosper and others struggle at things? Ever hear the saying “they tapped into the vein?” Even if you don’t believe there is a God, you can tap into this vein. Believing God created everything isn’t necessary. Religion is man-made. Jesus spoke of no religion, only relationship. Relationship within a body of believers. That doesn’t change His principles though. Wither you believe in God or not, it doesn’t change God. He is Who He is. The word of God is true. Many people use the principles without even knowing they are contained within the word. Share and share a like, do good, give etc all come from the word. In the world today you hear or read people are calling it “Karma”, when really it’s again in the word; you will reap what you sow.

People who tap in to a principle of God’s word and apply it, prosper. The principles, precepts, statues and law are all apart of God’s creation. He created all things with His character.
 [Jhn 1:1-3, 14 KJV 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ... 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.]
[Gen 1:3 KJV And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.] Each time God spoke (His word), His character became creation. The very promise of “give and it shall be given unto you” is part of His creation. When people tap into His character (principles), they begin to flow in His current. It, whatever “it” is, works.

[Heb 11:3 KJV Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.] God uses His creation to explain His spiritual meaning. [Rom 1:20] [Gen 2:9 KJV And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.] Two natural and two spiritual. We still have all four trees. Those that we see and build from, those that produce fruits are the two natural trees. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is mankind and the tree of life is Jesus Himself. This is a long study if you don’t know the trees. However there is a great deception in all this. God made man in His image knowing both good and evil. We as humans tend to evil and have to be taught good. The conscience of a human is the part of good set into us by being created in the image of God. This is why you have some “good” people and some that just go the way of evil. But this good isn’t good enough to have a real relationship with God. It’s a self-righteousness. Your purpose in life isn’t to tap into His character flow and have a “good” life. God is good and anything that is really good (by God’s standards, not mans) is from God. You can tap into His goodness and be hell bound. You can tap into many of His veins (precepts, statues, laws and principles) and miss the whole purpose of you being born. Oh but you’re a good person. But are you the bride?

When you tap into the light, darkness flees. When you live in darkness, you struggle. Walk into a dark room without light. If you’ve never been there, you’ll use every one of your senses to protect you as you wonder around in the dark. Same thing in life. You will go to schools, join clubs, watch movies, attend events and on, wondering what you like, don’t like and how you want to live your life. From birth until you die, you’ll search for purpose in your life. You’ll reach for more and more things to bring a sense of success. You’ll ask yourself what your life means. You’ll wondering if this is it or as the saying goes “try to live life to its fullest.” But you’re wondering around in darkness until you reach His light. Each vein you tap into brings a “sense” of good to your conscience. Helping a stranger out. Donating to a charity. Even going to church and accepting the Lord as your personal savior will bring a good feeling. We are the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You’ve tapped into some of His character, even proclaim Him to be Lord of your life; where is the cross then? Jesus said if you believe on Me as the scriptures have said out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. If you believe He is your Lord, why don’t know Him? He said without holiness no man shall see God. That you need to take up your cross and follow Him. What about repenting of your sin and being baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost; evidence of speaking in tongues as the bible teaches.

[Mat 7:21-24 KJV Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:]

The devastating truth is that we as the tree of knowledge of good and evil can justify ourselves as good enough. We can prosper, we can be called a good person and do many works in the flesh. We can believe that we are loved just the way we are and saved. I’ve had people say to me that they are a good person, period and that’s enough to go to heaven. Or they have an understanding with God. But the word of God doesn’t back that up. [Isa 64:6 KJV But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.]

God has made Himself available to you. But it will always be on His terms, not yours. Jesus is the greatest love of all and He offers more than this world could ever comprehend. But He said if a man isn’t born again of the water and the spirit, he will in no wise enter into the kingdom. He has a covenant that He has terms to. If you want to be His bride, it’s more than just tapping into character creation. It’s tapping into His heartbeat. The only way to do that is faith in His word through obedience.

I personally love Truth and I don’t like being lied to. We offer search for Truth classes for this very purpose. The lies are out there and only the word of God can dispel a lie. As long as you have breath and a willingness to pick up your cross, you can learn how to become the bride of Jesus.

This is a multi week Bible study taught by approved workmen who are excited about the truth and are

We must battle the five senses of our natural being just to get a glimpse of the truth about God and what he would have of us. Jesus said in John 4:24 that “God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” The apostle Paul describes flesh (our natural existence) and our spiritual existence contrary to one another in Galatians 5:17.

Search for Truth gives us the beginning of spiritual understanding and the true meaning of His Word so He can fill this temporary vessel called flesh with something that will help us overcome all its failings, give God true worship, and find eternal life with Him.

This is one of the most important questions we will ever ask ourselves. If we say that it does

able to please Him….Faith!

Faith to believe God for everything can only come to the diligent seeker. The diligent
seeker can only find faith by hearing and what we need to hear is only in the Word of God.

To believe that His Word is the One Way to be followed by us completely is the right
way to believe. There is only One Way the Bible tells us to believe and it is directed towards
two individuals. Those who are not believing right and need redirecting and the ones who are
heading in the right direction but need guidance to stay in the One Way.

No Sad Stories

Elder David Green brought out the true perspective in “No sad stores”.
[Psa 45:1-8 KJV My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.]

I have no sad stories, disappointment yes, lost expectations yes; God is still on the throne…All things worked and still work for my good, that is why I have no sad stories.
God is working for this body and this truth. He has no forsaken just because you don’t see it happening the way you perceived it to happen. His ways are higher, His thoughts are higher, He is doing a better thing. But when you’re carnal everything looks impossible, like an obstacle. But when you walk in the spirit, we can put the oil of gladness by quoting the scriptures. Use the word it doesn’t fail. We can cry or speak the word in power over our thoughts and our situations. God is working ALL things for our good.

[Phl 4:8 KJV  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.]
Think on these things!!!
The flesh goes straight to the negative, sad story…pity me, woe is me…problems. Come on this is a ploy, speak to the serpent and let him know you have NO SAD STORIES. You have testimonies of God working it out for good. Speak it! Get out of the pit.

The word always has an answer, an example to show you how to get out of the pit.
 Two disciples on their way to Emmaus, why, because things didn’t go as planned. The one they thought would become King is dead. Their expectation, hope of the future, their ideas and plans were crushed…. What did God do? He showed up…[Luk 24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?] WHY ARE YOU SAD? What is coming out of your mouth???

Daniel was thrown in the pit, 2 things: 1 didn’t stop praying 2 came up out of it with “Oh king live forever, my God has delivered me. No sad story here!!! God showed up in the loins den and a better result came forth, No one better speak a word against the God of Daniel. [Daniel 6]

[Gen 50:15, 20 KJV And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. ... 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.] When you’re not doing right you get scared. But Joseph’s answer was, God showed up and worked it all out for good.

[Job 1:20-21 KJV Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.] I have a greater expectation than this situation. God is good!

[Luk 22:42, 44 KJV 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. ... 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. [Jhn 18:4-6 KJV Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.] Jesus knew what was coming. He won the battle on His knees and met the trail head on. Just like David ran toward Goliath, Jesus walked right out and faced it. WHY??? Because there’s NO SAD STORIES IN GOD.

Paul said it like this; I press toward the mark…I have fought a good fight…. A crown of righteousness is waiting for me and to all them that love His appearing. If anyone should have a story of praise, it’s us… I was glad when they said unto me, let us go to the house of the Lord…The Lord will not withhold any good thing to them that walk uprightly.

It's a tail of a story

Talking with the Lord today about the false teacher… the tail and talebearer came to mind. A tale or tail…A false prophet or teacher, using the word of God yet teaching the traditions of men. Not dividing the word properly nor using the word to define itself as directed within the word; but teaching others as though it was truth. Deceiving and being deceived.
[Isa 9:15 KJV The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.]

First your mind doesn’t define lie or truth when it receives it, it stores all things equal. You have separate a lie from truth, but just like a computer, it’s just stored. Then when you form an opinion, you draw from your memory banks and form it. So if your memory banks have more lies than truth, you are forming an opinion with more lie support than truth support; your opinion is wrong.
 Today so many don’t seek, they just assume truth. I see posts, videos, mimes, pictures and stories that state “facts”. Who’s checking this??? Most people are so consumed with a busy life, work and entertainment (just stop for a moment and “see” how many people of all ages are locked onto a phone), that they barely have time to actually talk to a person. I mean a real conversation that has depth.
The human connection that longs to touch and be touched within ones inner being. When you open up to another person and hear them. Undistracted and genuinely listening to them and them to you. Those heart to heart conversations that leave you feeling loved, supported and in relationship with another human being. This isn’t a conversation about other people, news and…. the latest gossip.
[Lev 19:16 KJV Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.]
We see these posts or hear opinions without regard if they are a tail or not. Lies spread much faster than truth, because they “offer and appeal” to this fleshly nature. It takes work to discover the truth. It takes work to make time to communicate with a person or God.
I read a post in less than a minute, but it took me over a half hour trying to discover if it was true. When I found out it was false, I posted it and was mocked. Mocked….why? Because the real story was far too much to read than the quick little picture image and few sentences that were stated falsely.
How does this all connect… the false teacher or prophet that teacheth lies.  The world has this “Satan and his demons” being everywhere, tempting you, drawing you away, making you sin, possessing you and conquering you; really think about it. The prince and power of the air…How fast do you hit the like, share or tell someone something without really knowing if it’s true or not?
[Eph 2:1-3 KJV And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.]
Talebearer… with the technology lies spread faster and firmer than ever before. Today it’s fact first and then if someone you trust points out its false, you might believe it was a lie. However it’s still stored in the memory bank of your mind. How much work are you willing to put into “getting to the bottom of it”, truth.  And when you go to draw a conclusion or opinion are you watching your thoughts (memory cells) for a truth or a lie memory.
When you are not checking yourself against the truth, YOU are the one spreading the lies. Not some fairy-tale demon to blame. You are the one speaking according to the desires of the flesh and mind.  God said to let His mind (the word of truth) be in you that you might not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The word demon just describes a spirit (thought or action) within flesh. To lie is the spirit of lying. The spirit of tale bearing.
We are in a mass flood of unrighteousness. Everywhere you turn is lies. From advertisements, fiction novels, social media, news, radio broadcasts, videos and apps that help you “spread the word” or teaching. Think about it the next time you “share” something. I’ve been caught up in it. It’s fast and without thought. You read it, like it and share it. You hear it, believe it and tell it. If we don’t stop to check it, we have followed the course of this world. Thankful I know how to repent. Now It’s putting into practice the “check it” before I spread it.

If you take the time to really define satan as the word of God defines it and look into history; you'll fine out that ancient religious beliefs had multiple gods. A good god, an evil god, a god for this and a god for that. But Israel was taught from the beginning that there wasn't any God but the One true living God of Israel. The story that satan is some fallen angel that has all the powers of God, is a tail of a story.
[Deu 6:4-5 KJV Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.]

It's all God's word, right???

This is about the importance of using the King James Version of the Bible.
For many it just seems easy and more comprehensible to read the latest modern versions, but when it comes to heaven or hell, easy is not the path to take. Does it matter though. Well take a map for an example; if you were missing some keys turns, would you end up in the right place. This isn't a joke, heaven and hell are real. People go to hell for real. Having a translation that doesn't care about your eternal destination is robbing you of an amazing relationship with Jesus and heaven.    

How can we trust the King Jame Version KJV? When matching the words up, you have a clear cut meaning into English. Plus the concordance helps to bring the original use of the word into light.
Here's a little English test example.
[Exo 3:14 NLT] 14 God replied to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you."
[Exo 3:14 KJV] 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Who is person. That is person, place or thing. When Jesus told the soldiers that "I AM He" and they fell backwards, it's because He was using that same "I AM". That lines up with WHO, a person. But when God said that He was the comforter, that is a thing. When Jesus said He was the Way, the way of holiness is a place, the straight path. When God was telling Moses "I AM THAT I AM", He was letting Moses know that He was coming in flesh a few thousand years down the road. He was telling Moses I AM THAT (All the way down to Jesus) I AM. But you can't map that out because the NLT put the word WHO in there.

The "history" of the KJV keeps being added to with the invention of the internet. It's harder to wade through all the stories to find out the truth. Before the internet was in play though, I spent some time in the Library and looked up the history of the books translation. I was challenged that it was the Kings own personal translation. What I found was that these scholars were under the penalty of death for translating a word different from the word intended (interrupting it). Interrupting means what you think it means, translating is what the word is.
Some of today's resources state that they debated for 3 months over the words charity verse love, in the famous love chapter 1 Cor 13. The word charity won out because the Greek word Agape there meant so much more than loves traditional meaning. Charity gives without an emotional connection, it's good will. Love is an emotional connection that drives you. My point in all this, the translation had a powerful payday, both for doing well and not translating it well.
There wasn't a full translation until the ASV (1920), which does differ a little from the KJV, until the NIV came out 1978, the KJV was the only version used up until this point, some 367 years (published in 1611). Now think about this, the bible was kicked out of the public schools in 1965 and a new translation pops up on the scene 13 years later. There's not even a death penalty in most prisons anymore, so I'm not only quite sure there wasn't any threat to the person re-translating it, but its already been revised 3 times now, in that short period of time and not for spelling errors.

The KJV on the other hand was redone in 1769; "the Oxford University Press published an edition of the King James version in which many small changes were made. These changes were of five kinds: 1. Greater and more regular use of italics; 2. minor changes in the text; 3. the adoption of modern spelling; 4. changes in the marginal notes and references; and, 5. correction of printers' errors. This edition soon came to be known as "The Oxford Standard" edition, because it was widely accepted as a standard text by commentators and other publishers. The editions of the King James version published in our century generally reproduce this Oxford edition of 1769, with or without the marginal notes."

I looked up the minor changes in the text... they were things like "the priest" instead of "priest". The word "the"was added. Instead of Christ Jesus, they changed it to Jesus Christ. They actually noted down every difference.

[2Pe 3:16 KJV] 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.]

The word wrest means: to twist, turn awry...to pervert, of one who wrests or tortures language in a false sense.

[Isa 45:22 NIV] 22 "Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.]
[Isa 45:22 KJV] 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.]

The above may not seem like a big deal, turn verse look, but the word tells us that precept must be upon precept and line upon line, here a little (OT) and there a little (NT) to discover the truth or God's interpretation of His word.(Is 28:9-11) Yes the bible isn't a private interpretation, its a God declares it interpretation or it isn't Truth.
In order to find something out, you look for it. You don't turn. You seek, in looking. You knock in prayer. You don't turn around. The precept of look is part of the connections that prove Jesus is God. It's part of the directions in the treasure map of Truth. By changing this verse to "Turn", you wouldn't see "for I am God, and there is none else" when you're looking for Him.

Here are some other versions "wresting" the scriptures.
1 Kings 20:11
What the KJV has: And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast himself as he that putteth it off.

TLB The king of Israel retorted, “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch!”

MSG The king of Israel countered, “Think about it—it’s easier to start a fight than end one.”

NOG The king of Israel answered, “The saying goes, ‘Don’t brag about a victory before you have even dressed for battle.’”

The Apostle Paul told the church to put on the whole armor of God or to girt yourself with truth. When you're searching for the word girt, (a word study) you look up girt, grid, girdeth. From there you'll find the principle of Truth "not to boast of a victory you have not yet obtained". I don't think you'll find that in the chickens version.

A radio broadcaster stated that one of the parables is missing from a newer version of the bible. Not miss translated, but completely left out. Really, and this is the book you're trying to use as a map for heaven. A map to take you off the hell bound road and it's missing teachings, wresting the words and basically not giving what is necessary to make it.

Oh I hear the thought "what makes any book able to do that"; God. But just like any relationship, God wants to know if He's worth you looking, seeking and laboring to find Him. He preserved the book. I don't just write that, I've proven it.

This is heaven or hell. This is a real relationship with Truth or love for an idol.
King James had the right idea, death if you interpret the word instead of translate it;  there's a much bigger pay day coming and God means what He has said.

[Rev 22:19 KJV And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.]

It's all God's word, right... wrong. If I didn't say it, it's not my word. People have miss represented me. People have proclaimed God to be something He is not. He has provided the means, you have to desire the Truth.
God loves His people and really if you want to know Him, He has provided it within His love letter to the church. Don't settle for the newer "in thing", your life really depends on that.

And not only that, but this real relationship will be worth the work. Jesus is amazing.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand and know that prayer should be an essential trait of an Apostolic! Prayer should be apart of our character...it is who we are...it is our conduit and communication line to our God...many ask...if Jesus was God, why did he pray?

Ps 65:1-2 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

Prayer isn’t just some happy go lucky conversation...nor should it be taken lightly...or done with the wrong motives...

Matt 6:5-7 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

You can say a million words and never say much at all...if the truth be known, we talk to much and don’t pray enough!

I’ll never forget a message Pastor taught...years ago...fire falling prayer!

Matt 6:8-13 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Eph 6:5-8 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

1 Sam 1:1-7 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:
And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there. And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions: But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the Lord had shut up her womb.

(Childbearing was a very important part of Middle Eastern culture during Old Testament times. Children were a source of labor for the family and a sign of success for the women who bore them. Having no children was a sign of failure, so Hannah was a marked woman, a social outcast, a loser.)

6 And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb. And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.

Gal 4:27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

Break forth and cry!!! We need to cry for the empty womb, a cry of prayer for the filling of the womb. The harvest is there, we need laborers and prayer warriors.

Matt 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

We need to start praying and travailing, for lost souls...we are working on producing a myriad of outreach programs for the church to step into and work!

We need to pray and open our mouths and let this gospel out...

Ps 13:1-6 How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death. Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

So many times we wallow in our impatience...we feel forgotten...we think God doesn’t hear us...we pray and we pray and it seemingly doesn’t come to pass and then we step out of God’s timing and into our own...we wonder why God takes so long...this old flesh LOVES the to glory...it loves the spotlight...it loves to claim its own goodness and abilities...you see... it’s not that God takes so long, it takes us so long to get out of HIS way...if no flesh is going to glory in His presence...if no flesh is going to get the glory...then your prayer will get answered when you stop trying to force and make your will into HIS will...because if you get your way, then you will claim it was God, but it wasn’t God at all...it was YOU!

Who knows how many times she went up to the house of the Lord before this time...how many years...how many prayers had she prayed...but something was different about this time...something moved deep within her...like the woman with the issue of blood...like the blind men crying for Jesus...or the lame man at the gate called beautiful...something sprang up within her...her inward talk was different...her approach was different...her attitude was different...

8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?
9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the Lord.
10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.

Hannah didn’t just pray...she prayed...she didn’t just mumble a few words and go on her way!

This was a no holds barred prayer...she didn’t care who was looking or watching...she PRAYED!

11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

Take a look at Hannah’s prayer!

It was focused.
    Hannah's prayer was direct. She prayed to God to give her a son. She left God in no doubt of what she wanted. Her request was unconditional. She did not pray for a beautiful son, or an intelligent son, or one that was perfectly formed.

It brought her misery to the LORD.
    She said in all honesty: "if you will only look upon your servant's misery and remember me...." Hannah told God how she felt. Many of us are poor at this, we bottle things up and never reveal our feelings.
Hannah felt better after her prayer. We read that: She went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.

There’s a difference between dumping yourself upon the Lord than dumping yourself upon another person...there’s a difference between casting your cares upon the Lord and casting your cares upon another person! When you touch the throne of God...you will walk away changed!

The prayer appealed to God's mercy and grace.
    Hannah did not complain to God. She didn't say to God, "It's not fair! I am a good wife. Why have you given that Penninah children and not me? I deserve a baby too."

All Hannah did was ask - remember me...forget not thine handmaid.

12 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked her mouth.
13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

Hey, you can have a little chat with Jesus or you can HAVE a chat with Jesus...there’s a difference!
Hey, you can talk to God...or you can TALK TO GOD.
Hey, you can pray or YOU CAN PRAY!

Jude 20-21 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

When was the last time you took your grief to the Lord?
What ever happened to prayer and praying for God to do the miraculous?

Isa 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

You want a child...pray! You want a husband...I’m not for this going down to Egypt to get a husband...I say pray! You want a wife...I’m not for this going down to Egypt to get a wife...I say...PRAY THEM IN!!!

Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

14 And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.
15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.
16 Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.
17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

James 4:1-3 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the Lord in Shiloh: and the child was young. And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli. And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord. For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him: Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there.

And when the Lord answers your prayer...don’t forget to thank Him in prayer!

2:1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Ps 25:1-3 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

MY SON...everyone in here that is a parent knows the bond they have with their kids...it transcends most anything on this earth...when they cry...you know their cry...when they hurt, you feel their pain...when they fail, you hurt for them...

He didn’t say...my servant...my butler...my step son...my friend...my buddy...he says MY SON!

Matt 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Abraham prayed
Moses prayed for the people
Elisha prayed...open the eyes of my servant that he may see...
Hezekiah prayed and God healed him
Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly,

Our God prayed...
Matt 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Jesus was our example of how we are to walk in this earth and three times he prayed...and if this thing started in prayer and it’s going to END in prayer!

Lead me to an altar to pray!!!

What is holiness for people in today's world?

There's a couple of things that have to be said first. Holiness was established by God and He never changes. It's not a legalism thing, it's a pleasing God thing. Another part about holiness is that it's understanding something on the inside that flows onto the outside. See holiness is an outward appearance of what is going on in the inside of you. You need to understand Jesus never did away with the Old Testament, He fulfilled it. To use the law lawfully is what He expects; which is understanding the types and shadows then using them to define Gods character.

[1Pe 1:16 KJV Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.] This is New Testament. You need to find out what being holy is to God in order to be holy.

[Lev 20:7 KJV Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.] From the Old Testament we see the same command to be holy.
How important is it? NT [1Co 3:17 KJV If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.] When God fills you with the Holy Ghost you become the temple of God. If it didn't matter, then why would God destroy you for not being holy? Read that again...if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy... you are the temple and you defile it, equals destruction. The word man there means mankind.

So it's very important to understand what being holy and defiling not yourself as the temple of God, by Gods standards. Sorry but the scripture is plain, God will destroy the temple. Not man. So it really doesn't matter what the opinion of man is, cause he's not the one who can destroy the temple. You have to seek it in the word.

[Isa 28:9-10 KJV Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:] As human we understand that breasts come in pairs, Old Testament and New Testament pairs that you draw milk from. The Apostles refer back to the OT for their understanding, this is using the law lawfully.

Jesus said to clean the cup (or vessel) inside and out. [Mat 23:25-26 KJV Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.]
[Luk 11:39 KJV And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.]

That's what the OT does, it shows you natural things first to explain the spiritual things. It's not just the inside alone, nor the outside alone but both have to be clean according to the word of God.

[Deu 22:5 KJV] 5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.]
Looking up the word abomination: a disgusting thing, abomination, abominable
in ritual sense (of unclean food, idols, mixed marriages)
in ethical sense (of wickedness etc)
The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn't change. (Mal 3:6) [Heb 13:8 KJV Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.]
Meaning if He didn't like it then, He doesn't like it now. God doesn't change His mind on wickedness. We try to live as though He does. That is contrary to the Word and His character.

If you just sit back and think about how much your clothing speaks to you and others. When you dress up, how does it feel. When you see a uniform, do you understand what it's saying to you? What about lazy dressing? How did you know who was a "burnout" or "jock"? How can you tell if a person has a "good paying" job? If you're going to clean the house, do you wear an evening gown or cleaning clothes?
How much does what a person is wearing, speak to others? If a person walks in an office wearing a rock tee shirt, chains hanging of their pants, facial rings and tattoos on their arms; are you going to be so confident in them to tell you where to invest verses a clean business suit and look?

I know don't judge right.... Jesus looked right at the people and said you look great on the outside but inside you are full of ravening and wickedness. Do you think He ever looked at someone on the inside and said the opposite? You look great on the inside, but go sin no more.... lets get you cleaned up on the outside.

Clothing is just one portion of being holy. A women didn't wear pants until she had to enter into the workforce or when she had to do a mans job. The old saying "who wears the pants in the family". The man is suppose to provide and rule the family. Holiness is about being in the right place with the right perspective. A submitted life is a blessed life. An ordered life is a blessed life. You can't be holy without either of them.
Just because the world has it backwards today, doesn't mean God thinks it's okay. Holiness is about being right and pleasing to God. Should every women that has a job quite? No. But you don't have to wear the clothing or attitudes that men do and men shouldn't wear skirts either or be cowards to "man up" to leading.
Tell me, when you get all "dressed up", you don't feel what that outfit does to you mentally and emotionally. Put a man in a skirt and ask him to discipline your children. Both will have an issue. Why, if clothing has nothing to do with your heart???? Clothing effects you and the person looking at you.
NT [1Ti 2:9-10 KJV In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But which becometh women professing godliness with good works.] Yet in today's world as well as back in bible times, women become the pinpoint of fashion, the pressure is on to paint, dye, power and show off.
But modesty doesn't do that. Modesty like holiness respects ones true self. You don't need makeup, you're beautiful just the way you were created. Jewels and gold, costly array, so form fitting that you don't have to image much to see you naked, this is not modesty. So many scriptures back this up.

Your inside reflects onto your outside. Holiness is in conversation, dress, respect and humility; it's also in actions and strength in truth. You're speaking good about people, not putting them down. You're respecting others and know that you effect them. You are humble, not flashy. This pertains to both men and women.

Now a Pastor of the church, like Moses did in the OT, has to make the call according to the convictions God has given him for the flock he is the Shepard over. So some call one thing and another Pastor may allow it. Holiness is obedience to the Shepard God placed you under. His standards are going to line up with the word and have a little personal conviction. He's not going to say that you can dress like a man, we just read the scriptures that said not to. But he may say that the length of the skirt is different from another Pastor. Guys no shorts in one Church, long shorts in another. Again it's suppose to be modest, so if it's promoting lust, it's not modest. A mini skirt or tight muscle shirts are not promoting modesty.
[Isa 59:19 KJV So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.] No standard, the enemy comes right in and destroys.

The Lord is trying to make you into His image and not like the image of mankind or what mankind sets up as gods. He is holy. He is holy no matter what the calendar says is the date is. No matter who says it was for them back then...(we already read if He didn't like it back then, He doesn't like it now). And if you're filled with the Holy Ghost and praying in the Spirit, you'll put something on a feel convicted over it. If you talk evil about someone, the Holy Ghost should be alive in you enough to convict you over that too. If you haven't been convicted or felt dirty, warned, or questioning it in a long time, you more than likely need to be praying more. Unless you've grown into a mature Christian and have had your growing conviction lessons and have taken them to heart, you may experience conviction a lot less than when you were younger, but you will still get it. Because flesh is still present with us.

I didn't want this to be a scripture by scripture study, as there are many scriptures on it. I simply wanted you to step back for a moment and think about holiness in the light of God's view. If you have it and it's starting to slip, it's time to strengthen your borders. If you preacher stopped preaching it, it's time to talk to your preacher. It's in the word and can't be done away with. If you have never been told this before, it's time to dig into the word and search it out,

Go to the word. God is the one Who has preserved His word and His ways for all to search out. Don't just form an opinion, go to the word. That is holiness, it's understanding from the inside out. I don't do things because I understand holiness. I don't go places, speak certain things or dress in certain ways because I understand holiness. I'm going to see the Lord one day and I can see Him now because I understand holiness is beautiful, powerful, a shield and protection, it's a blessing beyond and it's pleasing to Jesus; today, yesterday and forever.

What has the devil stolen?

There's a song that states "I went to the enemies camp and I took back what he stole from me, he's under my feet"; powerful song but what did the enemy take from you?

The Old Testament tells about the natural fights and one comes to my mind, Ziklag battle. [1Sa 30:1-2 KJV 1 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; 2 And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.]

David encourages himself in the Lord and asked God to direct him and God did. He went to the enemies camp and not only took back what was stolen of his, but spoiled the enemy.

Scripture can be applied to many areas of life, looking at from a natural way to a spiritual. You can look at this as things literally stolen from you, to your praise or worship being stolen from you.

What has the devil stolen from you?
[Rev 2:1, 4 KJV 1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; ... 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.]
When you come to church are you excited to go? When you're getting ready at home, is it hectic or like preparing for your 1st date? When someone mentions the Lord, scriptures or things that pertain to the work of God, do you tune in?
Or has this all become familiar? Same old people, same old conversations, same old routine...

[Mat 5:6 KJV Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.][Luk 11:10 KJV For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.]
When you see "eth" on a word it means to continually do. Hunger causes you to seek, thirst causes you to seek; to fill your vessel. But the problem is what are well filling it with? Do you still want to know more about Jesus? Are you sitting on the edge of your seat during preaching? Are you hungry or is it something you "already" know? It goes back to that 1st love. Are you asking the Lord about Him or just for Him to deliver you? Are you praying? I mean when you were away from your "love" you couldn't wait to talk to them, spend time with them, get to know them. So is the bible collecting dust? When's the last time you told someone about Jesus?

What has the devil stolen from you?
How sharp is your sword? Can you lead someone through the word to Christ? If someone came against what you believe, could you defend it with the word or opinion? Is it just something you've always done or were taught, but never really questioned why.

[Rom 3:10-12 KJV 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.]
Have you become unprofitable? When was the last time you gave or served someone without asking for or expecting something in return? Did you stop seeking Him, not your routine of things, just no effort in it. If your hungering after Him you want to know more, which is understandeth. Jesus is the way. Or are you going about your ways?

In the battle of Ziklag the women, children and highest valuables where taken and then the buildings were burnt with fire. Deception is taking a lot of people today. Busy lifestyles are consuming joy, worship, study time, fellowships, volunteering time, helping time and many other valuables in God. Bigger houses but less homes. Social media but less social activity. Text messages but less talking.

Do you really need that new phone every year? Do you really need to spend $100 on a pair of jeans? So you really need to work 60 hours a week then. What about a family game night? A date night with your spouse, one where you actual date again....1st love...Are your kids little strangers that leave the lights on or do you know their dreams. Have you taught them or do you just expect them to watch you and get it?

I'm talking about what the devil has stolen. You can go to the enemies camp and not buy those $200 boots. You can go to the enemies camp and take back a family night. You can go to the enemies camp and listen to the preaching, prayer before church and be excited that God is going to show up at service. You can go to the enemies camp and teach your children the plan of salvation and then turn around and have them teach you it. Its a great victory. You can go to the enemies camp and find your joy, worship, praise and study time. Get this world under your feet and get God back in the 1st love position.
